Charges against LSU’s Jennings, Bain, and Thomas dropped

UPDATE: LSU Head Coach Les Miles has reinstated Anthony Jennings, Dwayne Thomas, and Maquedius Bain. The three players will report to fall camp on Wednesday and start practice on Thursday.

The East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney’s Office has dropped the charges against LSU players Anthony Jennings, Dwayne Thomas and  Maquedius Bain.

The three LSU players were charged with unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and Thomas was additionally charged with simple burglary on June 18th. Shortly after the news broke LSU Head Coach Les Miles suspended the players indefinitely.

Hillar Moore, the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney, stated that the decision is based on the request of the victim that no charges be filed and inconsistent and contradictory statements provided.

This comes two days after Hillar Moore stated during the Rotary Club Luncheon that the charges could be dropped soon.
