It was a season of new beginnings for the New Orleans Saints last season. Kellen Moore completed his first season as the team’s head coach, and there’s hope for a young, developing core that includes Tyler Shough at quarterback.
Since the end of the season, the draft has concluded, and the official 2025 schedule for the Black and Gold has been released.
Bits and pieces of the schedule were leaked throughout Wednesday and earlier in the week, but the NFL has announced when and where the Saints will be in the fall.
Unlike last season, New Orleans will have one primetime game. That game will be in week four when the Dirty Birds make their way to the Caesars Superdome. To begin the season, the Saints will spend the first two weeks on the road against the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens, before playing their home opener versus the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Minnesota Vikings will be the final home of a three-game home stretch before traveling to take on the New York Giants in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and then the much-anticipated Paris game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team’s bye week will be week eight, after its trip to Europe and return home to play the Cleveland Browns and the Carolina Panthers in the dome.
Late November will feature road matchups with the Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Bengals, then the Saints will kick off the December part of the schedule by hosting the Green Bay Packers.
Four out of the final five games of the regular season will be against divisional opponents. It’ll start with road games against the Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They’ll play the Falcons in Atlanta in week 17, and to end the season, the Black and Gold will face the Bucs for the second time, this time in the Big Easy. A home game versus the Arizona Cardinals in week 16 is sandwiched between a heavy dose of divisional action at the tail end.
