The NFL’s decision to appeal the suspension of Tom Brady has been made.

The NFL decided to uphold the four-game suspension of Tom Brady for his actions during the Deflategate scandal.

According to a statement from NFL commisioner, Brady had destroyed his cell phone either on or about March 6th, which was the day he met Ted Wells and his team to be questioned. The statement goes on to state that Brady didn’t disclose this information until June 18th, over four months after the investigators sought the information from the Patriots quarterback.

The four-time Super Bowl winner is eligible to play Week 6 in Indianapolis against the Colts. Jimmy Garoppolo, who played sparingly as Brady’s backup last year, is expected to start the team’s first four games of the season. Brady remains eligible for training camp and the preseason.
