Welcome everyone to another edition of #3OT!
1st OT: Cold Second Half Nearly Costs Cajuns
The Ragin Cajuns had a game where they came out of the gates strong in the first half, but went cold in the second half. In the first half, the Cajuns were a respectable 60 percent from the field, but in the second half, they dropped down to 44 percent. If not for the big surge in the first half, this could have been eerily similar to the Arkansas State game where they lost a tough one after being up by 13 in the second half.
2nd OT: Balanced Offensive Play By the Cajuns
The Cajuns showed a lot of diversity in how they played with four players in double digits. Normally, you’d only see Shawn Long and Bryce Washington in double figures. But when you have more than one player with more than 10 points, it shows that this team can get it done as a team. And perhaps this starting five that Coach Bob Marlin has used during this win streak is the perfect combination.
3rd OT: Big Game Next Week vs Arkansas State
With a rare week off, the Ragin Cajuns will need to make sure they are ready to take on Arkansas State. After suffering a tough loss on the road, this is another one of those crucial games. The Cajuns need to win this game to continue the momentum before taking on conference leaders Arkansas-Little Rock inside the Cajundome. This will be the true test as the Red Wolves are the last team they lost to before going on an eight-game win streak. Honestly, I can’t wait to see this game.
