This outfield assist may go down as the best of the season, and we are not even a full month in yet! Yasiel Puig has been, since entering the league, one of the most polarizing players for better or worse. Well, this time it is certainly for the better. Rockies rookie sensation Trevor Story hit a deep fly ball taking Puig back to the wall, where he mistimed his jump and had the ball bang of the wall above him. Story did what any other MLB player would do, he headed towards 3rd base for a sure fire triple. Mr. Puig had other ideas though. Puig chased the ball back in, and about 5-7 steps from the warning track unleashed a throw that no one expected. Check out this video below and make the decision for yourself. Will this play go down as the best outfield assist of 2016? We know it will be in the running, but how could this possibly be topped?
