The NFL’s Most Exciting Team

Posted by alanmichael on September 16, 2016 in Featured, Latest News

Without question, the 2016 New Orleans Saints are already my favorite team to watch . Week one was not an apparition, it was a harbinger of what we will see for 15 more games. 35-34 will probably be the score I predict every week for the rest of the season when I am picking New Orleans Saints games. This team will always be in the closest game of the week and more often than not, they will be in the highest scoring game of the week. The coaching style and the personnel come together in New Orleans to make a team with a scary offense, an almost mediocre defense, and a game atmosphere that will never ever be boring. That is why I am calling the 2016 New Orleans Saints the NFL’s most exciting team.

The NFL, whether you like it or not, is a business and it’s reason for existing is to make money. How does a league make billions with TV contracts and sponsorships? By getting the entire world to watch? How do they get the entire world to watch? Gambling. How do NFL fans gamble? A lot bet on games, but millions more play fantasy football.

No team in this entire league is as built for fantasy football quite like the New Orleans Saints. While some teams might have better players, they are usually balanced or extremely weak in another area. The Saints are the Goldilocks of the NFL. Win or lose, they are guaranteed to give fantasy football fans a show every single week of the season. They are just built that way. It won’t always be the same guy, but it will always be someone. Brees, Ingram, Cooks, Snead, and everyone else on this offense is susceptible to a giant fantasy football week. This team has been built from the ground up to placate the fantasy fans and cement the legacy of the fantasy era. The Saints won’t always win because of this but they will always have people watching their games. Unfortunately for Saints fans, that is how Mickey Loomis and Sean Payton have constructed their team.

35-34! That’s how it is and how it shall be for the Saints all season at a bare minimum. Someone is scoring 5 touchdowns. Someone is having a big time fantasy day when the Who Dat is in town. That may or may not include someone actually wearing black and gold. The Saints are the team of the 21st century. They throw the ball too much and they are suspect to blowing huge leads. They’re are not a good team. They’re not a bad team. They are the NFL’s team. A prototype for the new era of football. Gone are the days of bounties and tough defenses. It’s all about who can score more fantasy eyeballs than the other team. Do not think teams like the Broncos and Panthers will last. They are relics. This is the new era of football, where no team is that good or that bad. Just like the Saints! The franchise at the forefront of mediocrity. The NFL’s most exciting football team.
