The Fave 5: Who’s Next?

Posted by alanmichael on November 21, 2016 in Featured

Goldberg beat Brock Lesnar in 85 seconds. See if you can get through this Fave 5 that fast. Let’s rock!………

5. Special Teams Coaching By Committee

The Saints’ current coaching structure for their horrendous special teams unit has Greg McMahon as the coordinator while Steve Kwan is the assistant coach. Midway through a season where the Saints have had multiple field goals blocked and countless screw ups by return men, instead of placing blame on either McMahon or Kwan, Sean Payton is adding another coach to the mix. If the broth is already spoiled, what’s one more cook!?

4. PATs

Last year the NFL asked for it and in Week 11, the league’s kickers gave it to them. In the second year of the 33-yard extra point attempt rule, a record 12 kickers missed PATs in Week 11. Kickers were said to be “too good nowadays” so the league decided to challenge them. Great idea! Now kicks are even more important in determining the outcomes of games! I give it 5-7 years before kicks are banned and all extra points are two point conversions.

3. Jordan Scarlett and Lamical Perine

The Florida Gator running backs pounded LSU into near submission on Saturday. The blocking up front wasn’t even that great but the anger and Megaforce the Gator backs ran with at the end of that game was inspiring; particularly Perine, who had an epic 22 yard rumbling that left Tiger Stadium perplexed as he flexed all over LSU’s tired run defense.

2. Jerry’s League

The 2016 season belong to Jerry Jones. He is the loud rich guy on a ridiculous heater at the high roller craps table. Nobody can stop Jerry this year. The Baltimore Ravens gave Dallas a game this week but in the end, Steve Smith Sr.’s stupidity and the Big D offensive line were too much for the Cowboys’ opponents for the 9th week in a row.

1. Goldberg

85 seconds is all it took for the greatest WCW champion of all time, Bill Goldberg, to cement his legacy and defeat the most feared monster in combat sports history. Nobody thought Brock Lesnar could be beaten again, let alone squashed! With a couple badass Spears and a Jackhammer, Goldberg showed us all that heroes still do exist at Survivor Series 2016.
