After an underwhelming start to the 2017 season, the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (1-1) needed to get a win on Sunday against Hofstra (0-3).
That’s exactly what happened as they came away with a 1-0 victory over Hofstra.
The lone score came in the bottom of the second when Alex Pinero hit an RBI double to right center field to send home Tyler Stover.
Nick Lee was credited with the win allowing only two hits, walked two, and struck out seven batters in six innings of work. Dylan Moore got the save with two strikeouts in one inning of work.
The Cajuns will look to wrap up the Tangi Tourism Baseball Classic on a positive note when they take on Southeastern (1-1) with first pitch set for 6 pm.
