The Fave 5: 10 Seconds is All We Need

Warning! This list is packed with good information and some NSFW stuff that might make you feel naughty.

5. Sean McVay
Sean McVay is the perfect head coach for the Los Angeles Rams. He is the youngest coach ever, he is trying to inspire hope in a new place, and he has an inferior offensive roster. But the more and more TV shows him on the sidelines the more you are going to realize that this guy was made for Hollywood! Head coaches are not supposed to look like male models. I am willing to bet dollars to donuts that Sean McVay gets more cumulative screen time over the course of the 2017 than any other coach in the NFL. Most importantly; the old adage appears of “if you look good, you play good” should have the Rams competitive again.

Do you ever see Los Angeles Rams' Head Coach Sean McVay & Ryan Seacrest at the same place…at the same time? I didn't think so. pic.twitter.com/dfUhQ7ehtQ

4. TJ Watt
The Steelers’ first round pick had pretty much the greatest preseason debut for a rookie ever with 2 sacks, 2 tackles for loss, and 5 tackles in all. JJ’s little brother had social media buzzing about little broski living up to the name. I am not ready to say he will be as good as JJ, but TJ Watt is already the best player ever to wear #90 for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wow.
Wow.
Wow.

3. LSU Backfield
Anytime you have a Heisman candidate in your backfield, it can be considered a strength of your team. After Derrius Guice the LSU Tigers did have some question marks going into camp. According to reports from Coach O himself however, the Tigers are going to be “loaded” at running back. With camp darling Clyde Edwards-Helaire inspiring words like “dominant” and “special” from staff and teammates, Darrel William and Nick Brossette took it upon themselves to stand out in LSU’s second scrimmage. If camp reports are true and LSU is loaded with multiple running backs, with how he loves to go “multiple” with personnel, Matt Canada should be like an offensive coordinator in a running back store when we get to SEC play.

2. Death Before Dishonor
Florida has all but insured a bloodbath at the hands of Michigan in their season opener after suspending seven players, including stud wide-out Antonio Callaway. With as many awful people who have come through that program in Gainesville in recent memory, it is actually nice to see someone in charge holding them accountable to an extent. Jim McElwain made the tough decision that had to be made to teach dumb kids that there are consequences, a lesson not often learned by Gators of the past.

1. 10 Seconds of Hype
The video footage of Paulie Malinaggi’s spar with Conor McGregor was released over the weekend and it did exactly what it was supposed to do: build the hype to a fever pitch. Malinaggi is either on the take from Conor’s camp, working to demean McGregor for Showtime, or is just adorably insecure. I have no clue, but it was fun to watch him play Twitter whack-a-mole, responding to anyone who said he got “owned” or beat up by McGregor. Meanwhile, McGregor skeptics trashed on Dana White for releasing just 10 seconds of footage that to them clearly did not tell an entire story. Whichever side of the fence you land on, the video evidence was at least conclusive about one thing: we all cannot wait to see Conor or Floyd get beat up on August 26.
