With Hurricane Harvey hitting the Texas coast hard this weekend, there has been discussion of possibly moving LSU’s season opener against BYU from NRG Stadium to another venue.
Two sites that are being considered for relocation according to SBNation are Tiger Stadium and the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
According to Joe Alleva, he is almost certain the game will not be played in Houston. There has been nothing official told to him, but he feels that it will be moved to another venue. The decision to move the game is ultimately up to NRG and ESPN as they are the organizers of the game and there could be an announcement made early this week about the relocation of the game against BYU.
