5. LF7 & Sacksonville

No team shocked me more than the Jaguars in Week 1. Fournette’s meticulous dissection of the Houston defense with his physicality was the perfect compliment to a defense that looked like the 2015 Denver Broncos D. We now have the nickname to beat in 2017 as well with “Sacksonville” being the coolest thing that has ever come out of Jacksonville, FLA.

4. Live Fantasy

I always get excited when a novice seeks my advice and explanation of how Fantasy Football works. My girlfriend’s parents have delved into the harsh world of Fantasy Football this season and during Week 1 her dad was asking all kinds of great questions that allowed me to tell him how cruel and unfair it all can be. One question he had that I could not answer was why he could not replace an injured wide receiver (Allen Robinson) in the middle of a game. I told him the only answer I knew which was “because that is the rule.” When I thought more about it, I realized that this should not be so farfetched. Live fantasy football where you make in game adjustments as injuries and players perform poorly. It should be much more popular than it is, yet we are beholden to archaic formats like “set it and forget it before kickoff.” All things should be as live as Terry Bradshaw!

3. Letters From O

Coach O has the national media infatuated because of his style but what they will soon learn is that he is a man of substance as well. A letter Orgeron penned to the Golden Band From Tigerland revealed a touching note to the band from the LSU head football coach. It just further proves that it is not B.S. when Coach O says “one team, one heartbeat.”

2. Baker Mayfield

386 yards and 3 touchdowns versus Ohio State at the Horseshoe is great but what gets you into the Fave 5 is doing that with the spirit of Brian Bosworth and the swag of Shawn Michaels.

1. Kary Vincent Jr.

There is only one explanation for how he made this catch…I love the Power Glove. It’s so bad.
