Derrius Guice had one of the best games of the year on Saturday against the Ole Miss Rebels and the awards keep rolling in for the junior.
Guice’s 276-yard rushing performance was enough for him to earn the Maxwell Award National Player of the Week honors on Tuesday.
This is the second week in a row that an LSU player has been honored by the Maxwell Football Club with Devin White receiving the Bednarik National Defensive Player of the Week honors after his big game against Auburn.
LSU will have this weekend off before heading to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama with kickoff set for 7 pm.
