Louisiana Comes up Short Against Texas

Posted by clintdomingue on February 17, 2018 in Blogs, Latest News

It seemed like the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (0-2) were going to even up the series after getting two runs across in the ninth inning. However, the Texas Longhorns (2-0) had other plans in the bottom frame.

Dylan Moore came in for Austin Perrin in the ninth to try and put the ballgame away, but Masen Hibbeler tied things up at three runs apiece with an RBI single. After Hibbeler was thrown out at third, the Cajuns just needed one more out to head into extra innings and give themselves another opportunity to get the win.

It wasn’t meant to be though as Austin Todd hit a two-run walkoff home run to give the Longhorns a 5-3 victory.

Dylan Moore was credited with the loss after allowing three runs off of three hits in two-thirds of an inning. The Cajuns will look to avoid the series sweep tomorrow with first pitch set for 1 pm.
