The Fave 5: Bippity Boppity Boo

Posted by alanmichael on March 12, 2018 in Blogs, Featured

Caution: The Fave 5 is unfiltered, unapologetic, and completely uncensored!

5. Big Blue

No team gets the players or the support Kentucky gets. That is why even in a year where technically they could be considered a “dark horse” in the tournament, I still like their chances of going all the way. With all of those future NBA players with hyphenated names, there is a good chance Big Blue steals the south, especially when you consider that they are peaking in terms of chemistry and team basketball now.

A “Go Big Blue!” chant. It’s beautiful. #WeAreUK #BlueGetsIn #SECTourney pic.twitter.com/RN8wOzmTJD

4. Triple Double in Points/Rebounds/Blocks

Anthony Davis had his first career triple double on Sunday when the Pelicans played the Utah Jazz. This was not a standard triple double. This was a triple double in points, rebounds, and blocks! AD had 25 points, 11 rebounds and 10 blocks in a losing effort for New Orleans. It was another individual notch on his belt and a great way for him to return from injury. Davis keeps his name firmly within the MVP conversation, but the best part about it all is that he couldn’t give a rat’s ass since the Pels lost.

3. Daylight Savings Preparedness

Florida voted to stay in Daylight Savings Time all the time. Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Arizona, and American Samoa do not observe Daylight Savings Time. It is a very controversial issue but it such an annoying thing that causes issues. Take Ed Orgeron for example. Coach O had to prepare his roosters, make sure his shades were drawn properly and his sundial was working, and he had to set his clock radio to turn on to 103.7 The Game on Sunday morning al because he was so nervous he might wake up late for the first day of Spring Ball. Messing with time is so stupid.

Coach O on daylight savings time is a must listen. #LSU @WBRZ pic.twitter.com/8LX9s3nHKV

2. Dream Matches

I am starting to believe that Wrestlemania 34 is not even going to feel like it is real. I am going to have bruises from the amount of times I pinch myself to see if I am dreaming when I am seeing Ronda Rousey compete in a WWE ring, Charlotte Flair attempt to end the unbelievable winning streak of the Empress of Tomorrow Asuka, AJ Styles take on Shinsuke Nakamura in the purest wrestling match Wrestlemania has ever seen, and Brock Lesnar defend his Universal title against the Big Doggggg in the greatest main event Wrestlemania will ever have.

In 4 WEEKS, @AJStylesOrg will defend the @WWE Championship against @ShinsukeN at #WrestleMania!#WWEFastlane pic.twitter.com/OUea8lX1Vr

1. Cinderella

When you are picking your brackets, two things are paramount: you need to hit your final four and you need to nail the Cinderella team that makes a run. If you accomplish either you are in good shape. If you achieve both, odds are you are going to the pay window. My final four is taking some time, but I know what I like in my Cinderella. My Cinderella goes about 3-4 deep on her bench, she plays 94 feet all night long, and she can shoot the lights out. All I gotta do now is get some teams to try on this glass slipper.
