The Alan Michael Show may have one guy’s name in the title but this grand experiment in hype that captivated thousands in Acadiana and across the 103.7 The Game Universe was always about more than just one guy. This was never the ME show. This was and always will be the WE show. I am merely an advocate of hype and without the contributions of many, we would have never been able to do the most unique sports talk show ever to hit the airwaves or streaming services. With that said, I would like to take the time to thank the following for their contributions to the Alan Michael Show.
Thank you to the many great producers who have helped cultivate hilarious moments and bust ass segments. This show is obviously one that plays at an Air Raid pace and without a solid production, this would not have been the Mike Leach equivalent of a sports talk show. So thank you to the producers, most notably Cody Chustz. Upon starting on this program he did have a lot of hype behind him. Many said Cody was not a shower and did not look like your typical ace producer, but when given the opportunity he proved that when the lights go on he is a grower. Also, thanks to our usually uncredited executive producer Vince on Cow Island for his constant influx of ideas and suggestions to do brave things like Paul Heyman style promos and talking about people who are going to jail. These two in particular were the pistons transferring the force and energy of the show to the 103.7 The Game Universe.
Thank you to the Golden State Warriors for blowing that 3-1 lead. Thanks to Lady Gaga, Jason Vorhees, and Nick Foles for being heroes in times of need. Without their contributions, I do not know if we would have ever made it through travesties like the Troy loss, the Falcons blowing a 25 point lead, or the so-called Minneapolis Miracle. Thank you to Nick Foles beating Tom Brady in the Super Bowl though, for real. Also thanks to the Saints for never being boring and for always winning 35-34. Thank you to Ben Simmons for being a beast even though he never wanted to be at LSU. Thank you to the Pens for back to back Stanley Cups and everyone who respects Crosby.
I now need to thank some of the people who inspired the show to be what it was, a champion of hype, the Power of Positivity, and the Big Fight. Without the sturdy promotional foundation of the Alan Michael Show, nobody would have given a damn. So thanks to Vince McMahon, Don King, and Dana White for making it so easy to understand that aspect of doing an exciting presentation. Also thanks to the angel on our shoulder who has made this possible and guided us this entire time; the main source of inspiration for promoting our philosophy, Mr. George Washington Duke. Also thanks to the man who believed in me enough to give me a shot here in the Mid-South territory, Mr. Dave Schultz. I will forever be indebted to Dave for giving me the opportunity to live the dream of talking wrestling and SEC football on the radio.
The Alan Michael Show was always about more than Alan Michael. From fake emailers to real emailers to first time long times to the more frequent callers; thank you for subscribing to the spirit of the show. I hope you will keep in touch because the Alan Michael Show may be leaving the airwaves from 9 to 11 on weekdays here in Acadiana and around the world on the 103.7 The Game mobile app, but the Alan Michael Show will live forever because we got the strength, the power, and the we got the numbers suckas! Can you dig it!? So if you need your hype fix or you need a little entertainment to go along with your sports, you know where to find me on the social media gimmicks. Thank you and I will catch your ass down the road.
