ARDCO Equipment Student-Athlete of the Month: April

Posted by codychustz on May 24, 2019 in Blogs, Featured, Latest News

103.7 The Game is proud to present the ARDCO Equipment Student-Athletes for the month of April. The two student-athletes selected were nominated not only for their accomplishments in the high school sports realm but for what their contributions are to their schools, fellow students and communities.

Lenzie Buller, Port Barre
Lenzie Buller is an 8th grader at Port Barre who has been competing at the high school level for the track and field team. Buller regularly competed in the 800 meter, the long jump, and the triple jump. When asked what is the best part about competing against high school kids, Buller said “It’s more challenging running with high schoolers, and I appreciate that.”

Buller also makes sure to maintain an above average GPA as she is an active member of the Jr. Beta Club at Port Barre.
“It makes me feel proud of myself.” Buller claimed, when she learned that her on and off the field accomplishments earned her the ARDCO Equipment student-athlete of the month.

Hunter Wriborg, Iota High School
Hunter Wriborg is as impressive in the classroom as he is on the baseball field. That’s saying something considering Hunter was selected as the 2018 3A State MVP.

Hunter just graduated from Iota High School with a 3.7 GPA. He will be continuing his baseball career when he attends Louisiana College this fall. “If I couldn’t get a baseball scholarship, I wanted to at least be able to get an academic one.” said Wriborg about why keeping a high GPA was so important to him.

Wriborg went on to say, “It feels good, but it’s bitter sweet. I’m going to miss high school and my friends, but I’m ready for the next chapter of my life.” Congrats to Hunter for his selection as the ARDCO Equipment student-athlete of the month.
