LSU-Alabama Not Slotted for Primetime Slot on CBS

Posted by clintdomingue on May 29, 2019 in Blogs, Latest News

After an underwhelming matchup between LSU and Alabama last season, CBS looks to have passed over the big matchup on the first week in November with the day-night doubleheader will instead be on September 21st.

While CBS could re-schedule select this as a prime-time matchup as they did for the game of the century back in 2011, but this is the first time since 2012 that CBS didn’t schedule a day-night doubleheader for the date of the LSU-Alabama game.

Asked about the decision, LSU coach Ed Orgeron said: “I have enough things to worry about other than what time it’s schedule. We’ve just got to play them.”

CBS Schedule Highlights:

Sept. 14 Alabama at South Carolina 3:30 PM

Sept. 21 SEC Doubleheader 3:30 PM 8:00 PM

Nov. 2 Georgia vs. Florida 3:30 PM

Nov. 16 SEC Doubleheader 12:00 NOON 3:30 PM

Dec. 7 SEC Championship 4:00 PM

Dec. 14 Army – Navy 3:00 PM

Dec. 31 Hyundai Sun Bowl 2:00 PM
