With LSU’s new-look offense, one player that has benefited from it the most and that’s undoubtedly Joe Burrow.

For the third time in four weeks, the Tigers quarterback was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week after his performance over the weekend against Vanderbilt. Burrow joins Tommy Hodson in 1989 and JaMarcus Russell in 2006 as the only quarterbacks in LSU history to earn SEC Offensive Player of the Week three times in a single season.

Burrow received the honor after putting up a program-record six touchdown passes and throwing for 398 yards as the Tigers scored the most points in regulation in an SEC game in school history against Vanderbilt. With 398 passing yards against the Commodores, Burrow became the first player in LSU history to throw for 350 yards or more in three straight games and he extended his school-record streak of consecutive games with at least 20 completions in seven straight.

The LSU Tigers will have this weekend off before returning to Tiger Stadium to take on the Aggies of Utah State with kickoff slated for 11 a.m.
