Michael Divinity Returns to Practice on Monday

The LSU Tigers saw a familiar face return to practice on Monday afternoon and that was linebacker Michael Divinity.

The senior left the team for personal reasons the week of the Tigers’ 46-41 win over Alabama, announcing his departure from the program in an Instagram post on Nov. 4.

Divinity later addressed his return to the program on Twitter after Monday’s practice wrapped up.

Feels Good To Be Back With My Brothers And Coaching Staff ❗️😬💪🏾

The Tigers star linebacker returning couldn’t have come at a better time as the Tigers may need him during this final two-game stretch as a trip to Atlanta and the SEC Championship game looms large. If he returns to the field this Saturday against Arkansas is unlikely as the latest depth chart doesn’t have the Marrero, Louisiana native on the roster.

It’s a fluid situation right now for LSU, but having a player like Divinity on the field as soon as this Saturday against Arkansas is something that Ed Orgeron and Dave Aranda would be over the moon for after the Tigers defense allowed 614 yards last Saturday against the Ole Miss Rebels.

Divinity had been limited prior to his departure from the program, missing two of the first three games because of “coach’s decisions”.
