New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson is the latest NBA athlete on NBA 2K21’s cover.

Williamson was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. He now joins Portland Trailblazers star Damian Lillard as one of the game’s cover athletes.

The Pelicans forward told Sports Illustrated that “this was one of the moments I am still processing.”

He followed that by saying he “dreamed about being on the cover and for 2K to give me this honor, it means a lot because I have always played 2K with teammates and all my friends growing up.”

Williamson has averaged 23.6 points and 6.8 rebounds in 29.7 minutes per game this season.

New Orleans is currently 3.5 games behind the 8th seed Memphis Grizzlies and will have eight regular season games for a spot in the postseason. The team is scheduled to travel to Orlando, Florida for the NBA restart on July 8 and the season is scheduled to start on July 30. Their first matchup will be against the Utah Jazz on July 30.
