Saints’ QB Drew Brees could return against Philadelphia

The New Orleans Saints could get their starting quarterback back this week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

New Orleans is scheduled to play the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday at 3:25 p.m.

Drew Brees is eligible to come off injured reserved this week. Taysom Hill has started in place for the longtime Saints quarterback.

The Saints are 3-0 under Hill. The backup quarterback turned temporary starter has recorded 543 passing yards and six total touchdowns, including four on the ground.

New Orleans is 10-2 overall for the season. They clinched a spot in the playoffs after a 21-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

The Saints have not provided a timeline for Brees’ return.
