Dustin Poirier Scores Redemption Win Over Conor McGregor in Main Event of UFC 257

Dustin Poirier made a statement late Saturday night in Abu Dhabi, knocking out Conor McGregor in the second round in the main event of UFC 257.

McGregor came out of the gates fast before Poirier gained a quick takedown of the veteran. Conor fought off the Lafayette native with several shoulder strikes and took control in the final minutes of the first round.

Poirier kept fighting in the second round, working McGregor’s leg. About midway through the round, Poirier finished the job with a flurry of punches to take down the former two-division champion.
