LSU’s, Crews, Morgan, and Marceaux Named Second-Team All-SEC

Posted by clintdomingue on May 24, 2021 in Blogs, Latest News, LSU Tigers
Three LSU players were named to the second-team All-SEC on Monday.

The postseason superlatives came in on Monday afternoon for the Southeastern Conference and LSU saw three named to the All-SEC second team in Tre’ Morgan, Dylan Crews and Landon Marceaux.

Morgan is coming off of a stellar freshman season, leading the conference in hits (80) and runs scored (59). The New Orleans native also finished third in the conference in batting average (.370) and third in on-base percentage (.461). Morgan was also named to the All-Freshman and All-Defensive Team.

Fellow freshman Crews had a great season as well, especially with the long ball, finishing second amongst his teammates with 13 home runs, only trailing Gavin Dugas’ 16 dingers. He also joined Morgan in the SEC All-Freshman squad along with Jordan Thomspon.

Marceaux, a Destrehan native, had one of his best seasons in the purple and gold in 2021. The junior finished his regular season with a 6-4 record and an impressive 2.04 ERA.
