Louisiana Football is set to renew a big in-state rivalry.

The Ragin Cajuns have announced a home and home with Louisiana Tech for the 2026 and 2029 seasons, with the first game being in Ruston on September 26, 2026. The return trip will be made to Cajun Field on September 8, 2029.

This is the first time the two teams have played since 2015, with both programs undergoing significant changes. Louisiana, for example, is on their 3rd head coach since that last matchup and a new athletic administration.

Louisiana Tech leads the all-time series with a record of 48-33-6 in 87 meetings dating back to 1915.

Louisiana is coming off a 13-1 season and currently holds the nation’s longest active win streak at 13. First-year head coach Michael Desormeaux will lead Louisiana into the 2022 season as they host Southeastern Louisiana on September 3rd at Cajun Field.

For information on Louisiana Football season tickets, contact the Louisiana Athletics Box Office at the Cajundome at (337) 265-2104 or at ragincajuns.com.
