Louisiana to Play in 2022 Asheville Championship

The stage has been set for the Asheville Championship, taking place at the Harrah’s Cherokee Center- Asheville November 11-13, 2022.

The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns will be a part of the four-team field along with Elon, East Tennessee State, and Harvard. Tickets will go on sale in September via each individual university as well as AshevilleChampionship.com.

The games of the 2022 Asheville Championship will air on the ESPN Family of Networks on Friday, Nov. 11 (ESPN+) as well as Sunday, Nov. 13 on ESPNU. Friday’s game will include ETSU vs Elon at 7:30 pm CT and Harvard and the Cajuns at 5:00 pm CT.

Sunday will feature the third-place game at 1:00 pm CT and the Championship at 3:30 pm CT.

“Through the Asheville Championship, we are able to bring early season basketball to the Blue Ridge Mountains where fans are hungry for quality match-ups to kick-off the season,” said Dave Odom, chairman of the tournament. “This region has long been synonymous with remarkable college basketball, and we are proud to be building a Tournament that capitalizes on that existing passion against such a unique backdrop.”
