Mardi Gras is an age-old tradition in Acadiana, but there aren’t many events specifically for kids. The Newcomers Mardi Gras Festival is. It will be this Sunday, February 19th, at the St. Martinville Festival Grounds.
The event will feature Kid’s games, face painting, a train ride, and live music. It will run from 12:30 to 7:00 pm.

12:30 Ribbon Cutting for museums.
Geno Delafose will perform from 1:00 – 3:00.
JDA Dance Academy from 3:30 – 4:00
Member introductions from 4:30 – 5:00.
Connie Garrett will perform from 5:00 – 7:00.
The festival grounds are located at 120 New Market Street, St. Martinville.
