Tommy White is this week’s SEC Player of the week on Monday by the league office due to his performances versus Texas A&M and UNO.
The LSU third baseman batted .474, going 9-19 in his four games last week as he helped lead the Tigers to their first SEC series win of the season against the Aggies.
White recorded a double, a home run, 11 RBI, and scored seven runs in the four games last week as he has now extended his hitting streak to 14.
In the series against Texas A&M, the sophomore hit .500 (7-14) with one double, seven RBI, and four runs. In Saturday’s game, White helped spark the six-run rally as LSU defeated the Aggies 12-7 after they were down 4-0 early.
The St. Pete Beach product is hitting .419 on the season with six home runs and a team-high 34 RBI.
