LSU Eunice Women’s Basketball saw four members of its team named to the 2023 All-Louisiana Community Colleges Athletic Conference (LCCAC) Team, it was recently announced.  The Bengals have had at least four members named to the All-Conference team since its inception during the 2018-19 season.

The Bengals four selections are the most of any school on the All-LCCAC team this season.  LSUE landed three second-team selections as Princis Goff, Deja Tanks and Braille Washington make the squad.  Shayla Hickerson is joined by Goff on the All-Defensive team.

Goff paced a young Bengals squad by averaging 11.6 points per game.  The freshman had three 20-plus point games including 25 on Feb. 18 vs. Delgado CC.  She would end the season also leading LSUE in rebounds (7.4 per game), free throws made (4.5 per game), blocked shots (7) and steals (42).

Washington established herself as one of the premier sixth women in the state, averaging 10.7 points off the bench.  The Rayne native fired at a 23.5 percent clip from three-point range while adding 1.4 steals/game and 1.5 assists/game.

Tanks was one of just three sophomores on this year’s team, providing valuable leadership from the inside.   The Lake Charles native pulled down 4.0 rebounds per game while averaging 3.7 points per game.

Hickerson was a physical presence inside for LSUE as the Ville Platte product averaged 4.9 rebounds a night in her first season with LSUE.  She would add 3.7 points per game.

The Bengals finished their season 7-17 overall with a 3-5 finish in LCCAC play.
