Hailey Van Lith is headed to Baton Rouge.

The Louisville junior star guard, a two-time All-ACC selection, is joining Kim Mulkey’s national championship-winning program. Van Lith made the announcement official via social media on Thursday.

In 37 starts last season, the 5-foot-7 guard led Louisville in scoring (19.7), second in assists (3.2), steals (1.5) and was third in rebounding (4.5). She earned Honorable Mention All-American honors from both The Associated Press and USBWA.

Van Lith was also one of two Power-5 players — the other one being Iowa’s Caitlin Clark — to average at least 19 points, four rebounds and three assists per game.

Van Lith scored 729 points during the season which ranked as the fifth-best in program history for a single season.

Van Lith was a highly decorated player at Cashmere High School in Washington, and was recruited by Mulkey when she was at Baylor.

Van Lith was selected as a 2020 McDonald’s All-American, a 2020 Naismith Trophy Player of the Year Finalist and was the 2020 Gatorade and MaxPreps Player of the Year in Washington.

The 21-year-old has two years of eligibility remaining.
