The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns will travel across the Basin to Baton Rouge.

Louisiana’s softball program earned its 24th straight NCAA Tournament berth with a 1-0 win over Marshall in the Sun Belt Softball Championship Saturday.

The Cajuns will play with 10th national seed LSU, Prairie View A&M, and Omaha at Tiger Park beginning on Friday.

Louisiana (46-13) will take on No. 3 seed Omaha (32-15) on Friday. First pitch is TBD. No. 1 seed LSU (40-15) will also take on No. 4 seed Prairie View A&M (26-18) in the other game.

Louisiana was historic yet again under Gerry Glasco, continuing their dominance of the Sun Belt Conference with their 18th tournament championship and also holding 19 regular-season conference championships in just 22 seasons.

The Vermilion and White won more than 40 games for the 24th consecutive time as a program with this season’s team having the nation’s 4th toughest schedule.

Louisiana will head into the postseason with a season-high 12 straight wins while winning 22 of their last 25 games. The Cajuns also continued their Sun Belt Conference series wins streak, with it now being at 81 dating back to the 2013 season.

Over the weekend during the Sun Belt Softball Championship at Lamson Park, head coach Gerry Glasco eclipsed 250 wins in just his sixth season leading Louisiana.
