Jaden Hill is getting a shot in the big leagues.

The former LSU right-handed pitcher found out that good news recently as the Colorado Rockies decided to promote him to the active roster. He joined the team last night and may get a chance to make his debut this weekend when they travel to Milwaukee to face the Brewers.

An Arkansas native, Hill pitched for LSU from 2019-2021 but only made 13 appearances in his career due to a combination of injuries and the pandemic-cancelled season of 2020. He posted a 4.21 ERA during his time with the Tigers.

The covid-cancelled season was setting up to be a good one for Hill, as he had started the season having not allowed a run in 11 2/3 innings of work. Unfortunately, the rest of the season never happened.

Hill becomes the 87th LSU baseball player to make it to the major leagues. He is the fourth to make it this season, in addition to Paul Skenes, Dylan Crews, and Hunter Feduccia.

For the 2024 season, Hill is the 11th Tiger to make an MLB roster.
