The LSU Tigers men’s basketball team has been picked to finish 15th in the 2025-26 Southeastern Conference season.
The 15th place projection is exactly where LSU finished one season ago after a 3-15 record in SEC play under coach Matt McMahon. Overall, the Tigers went 14-18 in a season that finished with six straight losses.
Florida, the defending National Champions, were picked to win the conference. They also had three players earn preseason All-SEC honors, the most of any team. LSU did not have any players selected to the preseason All-SEC teams.
Kemtucky’s Otega Oweh was tabbed as the preseason SEC Player of the Year.
LSU starts their 2025-26 season on Wednesday, November 5th with a home game against Tarleton State. You can listen to LSU men’s basketball all season on ESPN 103.7 Lafayette 104.1 Lake Charles.
