LSU dominated by Razorbacks 31-14

Posted by clintdomingue on November 14, 2015 in Latest News

LSU Arkansas

The score may not have shown how much LSU was dominated, but the Tigers were manhandled by the Razorbacks on the way to a 31-14 loss.

The Arkansas Razorbacks struck first with Brandon Allen connecting with Dominique Reed for 52 yards to go up 7-0.

The Razorbacks poured on the lead with Alex Collins opening up the second quarter with his longest run of the season, an 80-yard jaunt into the endzone.

After Arkansas was intercepted by Jamal Adams in the endzone, Brandon Harris fumbled the ball giving the Razorbacks the ball at the 11. That led to Collins walking into the endzone to go up 21-0.

But the Tigers weren’t about to end the first half without scoring. After a lengthy drive, the Tigers found paydirt with Brandon Harris connecting to Dupre off a deflection from Travin Dural. This was the first score for the Tigers against Arkansas since the end of the 2013 matchup.

The Tigers continued to rally on the opening drive of the second half with Leonard Fournette putting the team on his back and carrying it into the endzone to make it a one-score game. But Arkansas kept the Tigers at bay with Cole Hedlund sending a 25-yard field goal through the uprights on the following drive.

The Razorbacks put the dagger in the Tigers hopes of coming back with Jared Cornelius flying down the field for a 69-yard run to the endzone.

LSU (7-2, 4-2 SEC) will travel to Oxford to take on Ole Miss (7-3, 5-2 SEC) with kickoff set for 2 pm.
