The Pro Football Writers Association announced its 2025 All-Rookie team on Tuesday, and a pair of New Orleans Saints made the cut. Quarterback Tyler Shough and offensive tackle Kelvin Bank Jr. were the two players to represent the Black and Gold.
This is the first time multiple Saints have been named to the All-Rookie team since the 2019 season, when three players were selected, and the first time two offensive Saints have been selected since 2017.
Shough was the team’s second-round pick and didn’t get his first start until week 10 when the Saints traveled to take on the Los Angeles Rams. In his nine starts, the 40th overall pick posted a 5-4 record, including a four-game win streak toward the end of the season, and finished his rookie season completing 67.6% of his passes (third highest among qualifying rookies all-time) for 2,384 yards, 10 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Shough also had 186 yards on 45 carries and reached pay dirt three times.
Banks was taken ninth overall by the Saints and was the team’s starting offensive tackle all season. The former Texas Longhorn consensus first-team All-American and the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award winner in 2025. He also led the offensive unit in snaps played (1,066 of 1,124 snaps).
