Cajuns Fall to LA Tech 6-2

Posted by clintdomingue on February 24, 2016 in Latest News

Cajuns

The Ragin Cajuns could not get anything going until late in the game on Tuesday night against Louisiana Tech (3-1), but it was too little too late, losing 6-2.

The Bulldogs got on the board first with a double by Jordan Washam that allowed Ulrich to get home to take an early 1-0 lead. The hits kept coming for the Bulldogs with Bryce Stark leading off the bottom of the third with a triple and he was followed up by Raphael Gladu bringing him home with a single to put them up 2-0.

Gladu got things going again in the bottom of the fifth with a double to center field that scored Chandler Hall. Marshall Boggs helped put two more runs with a triple that scored Stark and Gladu.

The Cajuns avoided getting shutout in the top of the eighth with Hunter Kasuls hitting a two-run single. But that was all to Cajuns could muster on the way to their first loss of the season.

Evan Guillory started off the year with a loss, allowing three runs off of five hits, walking one batter, and striking out one.

The Ragin Cajuns (3-1) will now head to Minute Maid Park for the 2016 Houston College Classic, taking on TCU (2-1) on Friday with first pitch set for 3:30 pm.
