The Carencro Golden Bears are looking to put together a season for the ages as Gavin Peters takes over as head coach.
Bear fans will find out by following all the exciting action all season long on Z105.9 FM — The Soul of Southwest Louisiana. The award-winning duo of play-by-play announcer Blain Viator and color commentator Chris Kovatch return to the broadcast booth for another exciting season.
“Thankful and appreciate Coach (Tony) Courville to bring me on board to be a part of the program and have this blessing on taking over following his retirement,” Peters said. “We look to continue what we started in 2018 and build on the great football tradition of Carencro High School football by developing young men to be more successful in life because they were part of our program.”
“Really excited to be back in the booth to usher in a new era of Carencro High football,” Viator said. “Really fun schedule to jump into from the start. Coach Kovatch and I look forward to our second season together with all of you each Friday night on Z105.9.”
