No more pencils, no more books.
Andrus Peat can turn his full attention to football.
The Saints’ first pick, who has missed everything other than rookie minicamp due to an NFL rule that doesn’t allow rookies to join their teams until their school’s classes have ended, is in full uniform and practicing.
“He got in yesterday,” Saints coach Sean Payton said. “He’ll be here now. He graduated on Monday, I think.”
Peat hasn’t been able to work out or practice with the Saints since rookie minicamp, but the team sent him materials to keep him up to date with the install.
“We will make sure he has those materials and will make sure we set up some time whether we are Skyping, I don’t know what the technology is,” Payton said at the rookie minicamp. “We are basically still being able to go through an install, but the rules will allow him to come back for the vet minicamp.”
