After much debate about his future over the last 24 hours, LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda will not only be the defensive coordinator for 2018, he has a new deal.

“I’m very happy to report Dave Aranda has agreed to be with our program for years to come.” head coach Ed Orgeron said on social media, “Thanks to Joe Alleva, Dr. Alexander and the board of supervisors for their support in making this happen.”

The contract for Aranda will span four years and pay $2.5 million a year according to sources. This is coming off of a season where the Tigers ranked 12th in the nation in total yards allowed (316.2) and 14th in scoring defense (18.9).

After the announcement came out, the Tigers leading tackler in Devin White took to social media to express his feelings on the contract extension.
