Less than 24 hours after adding a shooting guard, McNeese added a post player from the Pac-12 on Monday night.
Arizona State’s Bryant Selebangue announced on his Instagram that he would end his collegiate career playing in Lake Charles. Selebangue wrote, “GOD you have been with me through it all, this is the last go around, let’s make it count.”
McNeese will be the fifth team in five years for the Montreal, Canada native.
The 6-foot-8, 225-pound junior forward played his freshman year at Hutchinson Community College, before transferring to Florida Southwestern Community College.
Selebangue transferred to the Division I level and played for Tulsa during the 2022-23 season. In his lone season for the Golden Hurricane, Selebangue averaged 12 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, while starting in 31 games.
After the season he entered the NCAA Transfer Portal and committed to playing for Bobby Hurley and ASU. Selebangue appeared in 28 games (4 starts) averaging 4.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game for the Sun Devils.
It was the second commitment Will Wade picked up on Monday. Earlier in the day, Saint Louis University guard Sincere Parker committed to the Cowboys.
