In a defensive struggle that saw neither team score through three quarters, Jalen Hurts 21 yard touchdown run early in the 4th, proved to be enough as Alabama shutout LSU 10-0. The Tigers had 25 yards (125 total) and possessed the ball for barely over 8 minutes in the second half.
Despite forcing a pair of turnovers, both in Alabama territory, LSU’s offense was stagnant most of the night. LSU totaled six first downs, five in the first half. Quarterback Danny Etling was 11-24, with 92 yards and an interception. Meanwhile Leonard Fournette was held in check again vs the ‘Bama defense, gaining 35 yards on 17 carries.
