For the second time in the last three weeks, Jordan Brown was named the top player in the Sun Belt.
Brown, a junior forward, averaged a league-high 28.5 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game in a pair of wins over in-state Louisiana Christian and McNeese. With the wins, Louisiana improved to 10-1 on the season.
Brown had a career-high 37 points in the win over Louisiana Christian last Monday on 16-21 shooting before scoring 20 three nights later against McNeese at the Legacy Center.
Louisiana, which is off to its best start since 1990, returns to action Wednesday (Dec. 21) when they travel to Austin, Texas to take on #7 Texas at the Moody Center. Tip-off for that game is set for 7:00 p.m.
