Burrow, Chase, Edwards-Helaire Lead Group of 11 Tigers Honored by SEC Coaches

BATON ROUGE – The LSU Tigers placed 11 players on the 2019 All-Southeastern Conference Coaches’ Team on Tuesday.

LSU had six players earn first-team honors including record-setting quarterback Joe Burrow, wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, center Lloyd Cushenberry III, sophomore outside linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson and junior safety Grant Delpit.

LSU was also represented on the second team by a pair of offensive linemen in seniors Damien Lewis and Adrian Magee, senior defensive end Rashard Lawrence, junior safety JaCoby Stevens, true freshman cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. and Edwards-Helaire was named All-SEC second team as a return specialist. 

The All-SEC Coaches’ Team is determined by a vote of league’s 14 coaches who are not permitted to vote for their own players.
