The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns football season may have ended a month ago, but the news keeps rolling in.

On Wednesday, the Cajuns announced that they were hiring former West Georgia Head Coach Will Hall for the 2017 season as their offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. The news was first reported by Football Scoop on Twitter before an official release was put out.

His hiring is subject to approval from the Board of Supervisors.

The Cajuns also shuffled members of his current staff, starting with the former offensive coordinator Jorge Munoz. He will move back to his previous position as the wide receivers coach. Former Ascension Episcopal head coach Michael Desourmeaux will now be the running backs coach, Marquase Lovings will move to coaching defensive ends, and Levorn Harbin moves over to defensive tackles.

While at Western Georgia, Hall led the Wolves to a 31-9 record over three seasons, a pair of NCAA Division II Semifinal appearances , and the program’s first Gulf South Conference Title since 2000.

Hall and head coach Mark Hudspeth’s paths have crossed before back in 2003 when Hudspeth was the head coach of North Alabama and Hall was a quarterback for the Lions. During his time with the team, he won the Harlon Hill Trophy, which is awarded to the most valuable player in Division II football.
