The Cajuns baseball team’s six game win streak was snapped by the Southeastern Lions by the score of 5-3.
The Lions struck first with a two run shot by Chris Eades in the top of the third inning.
But the Cajuns were able to rally back with Joe Robbins starting things off with an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth. This was followed by Nick Thurman scoring off of a fielding error to tie it up in the sixth.
Then Tyler Girouard blasting a solo shot into the pine trees in the bottom of the seventh to take the lead back.
But the Lions wasted no time to get back in the game with a three run eighth inning to put the game just out of reach.
Colton Lee dropped to 1-3 on the year allowing three runs off of one hit in one third of an inning of work.
The Cajuns (21-14 8-6 Sun Belt) will next travel to San Marcos to take on the Texas State Bobcats (17-17-1, 9-6 Sun Belt) in a three game series starting on Friday with first pitch set for 6:00 pm.
