Posted by clintdomingue on February 27, 2016 in Latest News

Cajuns

The Ragin Cajuns had a rough second half as the South Alabama Jaguars (13-16, 11-7 SBC) rallied in the second half to beat the Cajuns 83-70.

The Jaguars took the lead early on but the Cajuns kept themselves within striking distance throughout the first half. Late in the first half, the Cajuns went on a 10-3 run to take the lead and it helped them head into the locker room with a 32-26 lead.

The Jaguars started to mount a comeback in the second half and got things done with solid shooting. South Alabama went 66.7 percent from the field and six-of-eight from the arc in the second half and it was enough to come away with the win.

After a huge game on Thursday, Shawn Long led the Cajuns with 25 points, 13 boards, one assist, four blocks and one steal on the night. Bryce Washington had a solid outing as well with 14 points, nine boards, and one assist on the night.

Ken Williams led the Jaguars with 25 points, six boards, five assists, one block, and two steals on the night.

The Cajuns (15-12, 11-7) will head back to the friendly confines of the Cajundome for their final two games of the regular season, starting with Georgia State (15-12, 8-10 SBC) on Thursday with tipoff set for 7:15 pm.
