The Ragin Cajuns suffered another tough loss at the Houston College Classic, this time it was an extra innings game against Texas Tech (6-1) by the score of 5-3.
Cory Raley got things started for the Red Raiders in the top of the third with a groundout to shortstop and that allowed Ryan Long to put Texas Tech up 1-0.
The Cajuns tied it up in the bottom of the fourth with Clement hitting a grounder to second and that allowed Joe Robbins to score.
Orlando Garcia put Texas Tech back in the lead with a leadoff home run in the top of the sixth. But Robbins responded with a bomb that landed in the Crawford Boxes to knot things up yet again. The Cajuns took the lead for the first time this weekend with a single by Brian Mills in the bottom of the seventh and a throwing error allowed Nick Thurman to get home safely.
But the Red Raiders got it tied up yet again with an RBI by Tyler Floyd and it sent it to extra innings.
Long got the win for the Red Raiders in the top of the 10th with a two-run double to right field.
Dylan Moore (1-1) is credited with the loss allowing 3 runs, one of which was earned. Moore also allowed three hits, walked one, and struck out three.
The Cajuns (3-3) will try to close out the weekend on a high note when they take on the Rice Owls (3-3) with first pitch set for 6 pm.
