Cajuns Go Down Hard to Georgia State, 101-86

Posted by davidschultz on January 17, 2017 in Featured, Latest News

Looking to bounce back from Saturday’s loss to Georgia Southern, the Ragin’ Cajuns took it on the chin again, 101-86 to Georgia Southern Monday night in the Cajundome.  The Panthers just could not miss; shooting 60% in the 1st Half and 63% in the 2nd Half.   A pair of Panthers, Isaiah Williams & D’Marcus Simonds each poured in 24 points while GSU leading scorer Jeremy Hollowell, chipped in with 19.

The Cajuns had four players in double figures led by Frank Bartley’s 19 with Bryce Washington adding another double-double (15th, leads nation) 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Louisiana heads west for the Texas two-step.  Texas State up first on Saturday followed by UT-Arlington on Monday night.  The Cajuns and Mavericks can be seen locally on ASN, 32.1.
