Ragin’ Cajuns lefty Gunner Leger went seven perfect innings and had faced the minimum 26 hitters before St. Peter’s Brian Turton singled to center breaking up Leger’s no-hitter with two outs in the ninth in Louisiana’s 10-0 over the Peacocks. The perfect game ended when Leger hit Mike Ionta leading of the top of the eighth. Leger (3-1) struck out nine Peacocks earning his third straight win.
Offensively for the Cajuns, Brenn Conrad and Izzy Edwards combined to go 5-9, scoring four times and driving in four runs.
Louisiana and St. Peter’s scheduled to play Saturday afternoon at 2p.
