The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns received some bad news on Sunday night as their appeal to get another year of eligibility for quarterback Anthony Jennings was denied. This story was first reported by Tim Buckley of the Daily Advertiser.
The basis of their appeal was because Jennings did not play much as a junior at LSU. He only appeared in two games that year and had no rushing or passing stats during the 2015 season.
While Cajuns fans may be happy that he won’t be playing for the Cajuns in 2017 due to his poor performance, the situation at quarterback is right back to where it has been since Terrence Broadway played his final game in the vermilion and white in 2014.
This wasn’t the only bit of bad news when it comes to the quarterback position the Ragin Cajuns received. Earlier last week, Gunner Hudspeth announced that he would no longer be a player for the Ragin Cajuns due to another ACL injury and will move into a student-coach role.
