The Ragin Cajuns Softball Schedule for 2016 schedule has been released and some heavy hitters have been thrown into their schedule.
The Cajuns start off their season in Gulf Shores in the NCAA Sand Dollar Classic from February 12-14 and come back to Lamson Park for the 30th Louisiana Classics, the first of two tournaments scheduled to take place at the facility. Among the teams in the tournament is Oregon, who the Cajuns faced off against last April in Eugene.
Other key non-conference matchups include a twinbill on the road against Baylor on March 29th and a three-game road series against defending national champions from April 16-17.
In Sun Belt conference play, the Cajuns will host South Alabama (March 12-13), Texas State (April 2-3), Appalachian State (April 23-24) and ULM (May 7-8). The Cajuns will hit the road taking on Sun Belt foes UT Arlington (March 19-20), Troy (March 25-26), Georgia State (April 9-10) and Georgia Southern (April 30-May 1).
